DTE@IBM Watson IoT

[11|06|2019]

On 7 June 2019, the students of the Master program Digital Technology Entrepreneurship visited the IBM Watson IoT Center in the Highlight Towers in Munich with Prof. Eva Anderl and Prof. Holger Günzel.

Apart from the amazing view, they enjoyed an introduction to IBM’s IoT initiatives and had the opportunity to participate in a Design Thinking workshop. Together with four Enterprise Design Thinking experts, they developed innovative solutions for grocery shopping – ranging from a “Granny Shopping Truck” to a “Talking Apple” app for conscious shoppers. Afterwards, the data scientist Jan Mikolon gave a short introduction into his work at IBM, where he develops new visualizations for IoT data. Stephan Osthues, Executive Partner for Digital Reinvention, shared his thoughts on the Cognitive Enterprise and provided useful hints for future IoT consultants. A big thank you to DTE alumna Lisa Walter, Ester Müller and the whole team at IBM for the inspiring day and many interesting discussions!
